M8 Freestyle HD – Outdoor Power, Super-whoop
The M8 Freestyle HD is a high-performance 80mm bind-and-fly digital whoop built for pilots who want more speed, more power, and more control - all without giving up the benefits of an ultra-light platform. Powered by the HDZero AIO15 and equipped with RS1102 13500KV motors, it delivers responsive and confident handling ideal for outdoor freestyle flying.
Compared to 1S digital whoops like the M6 Freestyle HD and M7 Freestyle HD, the M8 steps up in every way:
- 2S power enables significantly higher thrust and acceleration
- 15A ESCs and larger 45mm props unlock more aggressive maneuvers
- Best suited for higher-speed outdoor flights, while still light enough for tight flying
Despite its performance edge, the total weight stays under 33.5g, making it one of the lightest 2S digital freestyle whoops available.
Key Features
- Powered by the HDZero AIO15: digital VTX + FC + ELRS RX + 15A ESC in one

- RS1102 13500KV motors and 45mm props for high-speed agility
- Runs on 2S XT-30 550mAh batteries (recommended)
- Built for outdoor freestyle while remaining compact and sub-250g

Its awesome to fly out the box. I did buy 550 batteries that are a little too big for the battery cage but I got it to work by clipping the cage and using a small battery strap. Gets great time in flight now.
My experience with the HD Zero system has exceeded my expectations. The single antenna analog RX of the Google2 using a TBS Triumph CP antenna made the FPV feed on a BETAFPV 115S @ 25mw using Happy Model's new "Crown" CP antenna look more like an HD system than analog, and the HD Zero AIO System on the M8 is again far better than expected after reading and watching reviews before purchase. I think antenna choice and balanced props are being underestimated and dismissed in several reviews that do not match my experience, The HDZ M8 is the new King in my collection, and I would remind people of the signal loss when using a dipole with a CP antenna. The new 30mm Happy Model crown antenna is only 0.68g, just a fraction of a gram more than the stock dipole on the HX115S. Haven't put a HM CP antenna on HDZ M8 yet... waiting om second order.
Great little ripper
I have a ton of quads and this one is one of my favorites. It’s incredibly zippy and controlled. I love my old 2s mob8 (85) HDZero with a vtx and fc stack, but this is more powerful and agile and it’s a little bit smaller. This thing rips. You won’t be disappointed.
My favorite mini-whoop for the last 4 months. My M6 Freestyle version is my second favorite.
