Description
The Runcam HDZero Lux camera is compact, lightweight, and durable, making it perfect for whoop and micro drones. It features a half-inch CMOS sensor that delivers sharp image quality and excellent low-light performance. The camera outputs HD composite video via a single wire instead of a MIPI cable, reducing footprint, cost, and increasing durability.
Optimized for a 4:3 aspect ratio, it can also be configured for a 16:9 aspect ratio with a reduced vertical FOV. Designed meticulously for ultra-lightweight drones like Tiny Whoops, where every fractional of a gram matters, the camera boasts a large 94-degree vertical FOV, ideal for fast indoor and outdoor proximity flying.

Exactly what I wanted for my hummingbird. With the aoi5 it’s way better image and more durable than the original parts. Very happy
Purchased to build a 16:9 Digital 65mm whoop, As soon as it arrived, soldered it up.
Tried to switch it over to 16:9 following the attached video guide, and the menu doesnt appear.
Contacted support (Which is such slow replys)
Turns out I have a defective camera.
The option is to send it back to china, or get a 30% discount on purchasing a new camera.
ITS A BRAND NEW CAMERA, NEVER FLOWN, DEFECTIVE ON ARRIVAL. WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING OR A 30% DISCOUNT ON A NEW ONE.
Biggest regret going into the HDZero ecosystem seeing this is how they handle warranty on defective products on arrival
Simply astonishing low light performance. Was googling how to optimize the camera a bit and all I did was crank up the sensitivity. I think it goes from 1 to 15 and the default setting is 5. I turned it up to 11 and it is like having night vision. I flew under my bed in my bedroom with the light off at night. I only had one light on in the other room and I could see like it was daytime almost. You can see when the camera switches to low light mode and everything becomes grainy and colors are dim or gone, but you can still make out objects and avoid them. I'm pretty sure you could fly with moonlight only.
